Just to keep it all fair and open, here's the first little nudge: the sensei doesn't want to give too much away too quickly, since you are all pro's here.

So it's an elimination nudge rather than directional nudge you're getting first:

The title is literal, it is a big grid of letters, so it isn't really going to be any help in solving the puzzle.

The rest of the information you can see on the puzzle is relevant.

I suspect that the problem for everyone is that we have so many letters and so many ways of interpreting the subtitle that the possibilities seem endless.

Hmmm, where to start solving...

The phrase is the key to this one, but i'm sure you all expect that is the case. Two by two is a significant part of the phrase, and can be used to decode the key.

...and yes, the 1 in the bottom left is indeed a digit.

...it's your starting point of reference.

OK still no movement yet, time for another nudge methinks.

when all you can see is a big grid of letters,
the title's no good and the clue not much better, (ouch!)

the 'two by two' clue is precisely what you need,
a coordinated effort, using that seed,

hopefully this rhyme will stimulate the matter,
and help all to move on and spare this bad patter.

The clues are all there, but this still remains one of the hardest ones in season 2.

The phrase is the key to solving this.
The 'two by two' within the phrase is the key to unlocking the phrase and getting the letters you need from the grid.

You will need to coordinate your thoughts to solve this one.

Hello again to the Sensei's. I havn't given up but am at a loss as the Doctor was. Printed the page off and carried it around with me for months. I pray you will be kind enough in this New Year to give me a nudge in the right direction!

Hi Guys, I simply can't do it just by thinking harder. I'm going to have to be cheeky and ask for a push (not a nudge) in the right direction. Pleeeaase. Sad
